Encore is over.
The performers have danced, sang, acted.
okay fine I shall stop the analogy lol.

Feeling achy all over.
Especially my hands, neck, back.
But I guess this was worth it all.

Started off with a few mass changes which we kept on guoshi-ing.
Camp D part 1 was okay.
Outdoor cooking lol we took quite long to get our fire going.
Camp D part 2 was whoo!
We finished quite quickly :D
OJ was cool too, when yiting, weixin, sweeyee came back from bsp, and we had a sudden burst of encouragement!
KYEB.
Know Ourselves Even Better.

At the very end, all of us just huddled together and cried after break off.
I didn't expect that ending.
But I really felt so comfortable like that.
I truly felt the bond connecting all of us.
Some of us cried on one another's shoulders, some of us just hugged like they would never let go.
Never ever let go.
That is what we will do.
Never let go of one another.
Hold one another tightly, never letting anything make us let go of one another's hands.
Never let go of one another forever.
That's what a 届 is for.
To chiong homework with.
To celebrate birthdays with.
To talk crap and les/gay with.
To tease.
To eat recess and lunch with.
Even dinners after jihe.
All those are surface stuff.
What a 届 is really for.
To cheer one another on.
To push you on when you feel like giving up.
To lighten your burden.
To share your joy and sorrow.
To protect one another.
To let you know that they'll be there always.
Even when you think you don't need them.
But, you know you want them.

41st batch.
Though the seniors were disappointed, they didn't give up on us totally.
They were still holding on to that little speck, little ray of hope for us.
They said that the fact that we are improving shows that we haven't reached out fullest potential.
And cheered us on.
We felt sad for disappointing the seniors, and more so, disappointing one another and ourselves):
But that crying session comforted one another.
This was the first time we had such a massive huddling, other than passing downs.
41st Batch I love you guys!
Let's jiayous for our paths ahead and go through thick and thin together(:
Even if we get looked down upon, mocked by other ccas, we know ourselves best :D
We know that we'll stay together forever and never ever let go(:

Kay on a lighter/heavier note, ms ngau gave us the term 3 and 4 schedule after break off.
Just when all of us regained composure and dried our tears.
First thing I saw on the schedule was (insert suitable word)
And I felt like crying again.
But duh I held back my tears.
Didn't want to look like an idiot there.
hah.

I had a dream on wednesday night that (insert suitable word) wasn't overnight.
And I woke up sweating all over.
Cos in the dream a few of us were fighting for overnight but it didn't work.
But I told myself that dreams are usually opposites of what is in the real world.
And so, it IS overnight yay :D
We shall make it a night to remember.
and I'll put 10000000000x more effort than I did in sec1.

That colourful cabinet which contains all our necessities for jihes.
That colourful cabinet which has encountered countless times of banging from Xintian and I in our continuous attempts to close it when it just wouldn't close lol.
Xintian and I were the xdx guardians from 3rd July 2008 to 29th May 2009.
Now we have passed the keys to Anyi and Chunyen :D

Guess I've had feelings with the xdx after this period of time watching over it lol.

P6 sec2s came in to the tuanbu to take some photos for their project.
That's how all these pics came about :D

Time flies luh.
I have been there for 2 1/2 years, in the patrol that watched me grow up ever since that very first day when we sat in the tanjong rhu campus parade square, the start of my journey.
And at the same time, I have watched my cute cute juniors grow up too(:
I remembered last year when all 5 of them dao-ed Cheng Yee, Sally and I when we met up with them to tell them about some li jie.
that was at the grandstand of tanjong rhu campus.
that feeling was super awkward, the sec2s were doing the talking while the sec1s stared blankly.
The sec2s were scared and terrified lol.
and now our sec1s have become sec2s, and they have become a bunch of hyperactive energy bunnies that never fail to brighten up the seniors' day(:
haha our sec1s are starting to get some hyper-ness from the sec2s lol.
and I have watched p6 sec4s grow up too(:
seen how Kimberley used to get 'bullied', exactly like how Zishan is now lol.
seen how Zhen Ling and Pearlyn became funnier and louder, from that quiet impression they gave all of us.
seen a different side of them after their pltc 08.


Love p6 :D

The rehearsals were productive.
The props have been prepared.
The lightings switch at the perfect timing.
The actors aka the chorus have drunk lots of honey to soothe their throats.
Let's hope this encore would be our best performance ever(:


anyway just wanna say that the library rocks lol.
It contains an archive of all the yearbooks accumulated over the years.
1979, 1985, you name it, they have it.
I think the 2006 one is the funniest can!!!!!!!
All our sec4 seniors' photos when they were sec1.
So cute!
Some of them didn't change much, some of them changed ALOT.
They became prettier :D
and claire's "ting3 xiong1" guy changed alot too!

3J is a smart class.
I am not as smart as them.
So I shouldn't feel demoralised that I'm one of the lowest.
At least I did put in effort.
I should spend some time during the holidays rewarding myself :D

We had patrol pdp before jihe on friday too.
When I hugged chunyen and zishan, I really felt like crying.
almost.
omg why?
it's not even the real thing yet.
Sally and I called it fake pdp and real pdp to differentiate them.
well maybe cos when the fake pdp is over, the real pdp will come next ):
well I don't know what kind of senior my juniors see me as.
but if I am nothing more than an instructor to them, then I better work on it.
Cos I told myself to be more like their sister rather than to solely be their teacher.

anyway I was reminded of mr sng's speech on last day of school.
he said that for performing arts, they get to showcase their hardwork on the stage, whereas the sportsmen's hardwork are mostly behind the scenes.
And this got me to think about UG.
And then also fine-focusing on guides.
People from other ccas outside UGs will not see our behind the scenes saikang-ing, the only people we get to showcase our hardwork to is within ourselves.
But even if the world doesn't see it, we understand, we appreciate one another.
So we're gonna just give our best in everything we do(:
This STD (skills training day) is the 41st Batch's pltc encore.
only that the encore was not because of the impressive performance on stage, but because we have lots of areas to improve on.
since the song chosen for an encore is the best one, we too shall make our encore the best performance.
and so we're gonna end pltc encore with a bang.
The stage is really all OURS now.
Our ahheemmmm (cough cough) "siblings" won't be there to steal the limelight of our final performance, so we got no excuses lol.
the last applause from the audience is just a bonus.
all we need is to know that this encore is our best ever.
before we become the conductors/directors/music producers.

One should choose to be the one who makes mistakes and not be afraid to let everyone know the mistakes she made, rather than be the one who gives everyone a perfect image of herself.
cos the perfect image portrayed would be nothing more than a mask to hide her weaknesses.
cos nobody is perfect.
whereas if she made mistakes, not only will people learn from them, she will learn too.
And it'll be even better if people see how she picks herself up from her mistakes.
Though I feel we should not judged or be judged based on one mistake made and thus be shortchanged of life's experiences.



anyway, I had a cool birthday today!!!
thanks to all who wished via sms, msn, facebook, face to face etc!!!
You guys made me day.
had open house today.
Came to school at around 730.
some 41st batch people passed me cards and gifts but everything was in such a hurry so I had no time to hug them on the spot lol.

during open house, some people wished me too :D
and after open house, p6 celebrated for me with a chocolatey cake!!
awww...
then while I was washing hands, cryst and nic came up behind me and started singing lol.
such an awkward position to sing.

joke of the century: tabitha ran all the way from the sjab booth to wish me happy birthday.
LOL.

open house duty was interesting.
an ex dhs guide from the 1979 year came and took a look at our booth.
and she found 2 pics of her in the photo albums!
she took a photo of them with her hp haha.
and we found ms eileen lim's photo too!!!
haha it was so cool listening to all the stories of the past(:
wonder what it would be like 30 years later when we come back to dhs and talk to the 30 years later batches.
wow imagine the 71st batch.
maybe cryst's daughter would be there :D
haha hope they'll enjoy listening to our stories too lol.
I think next time we can just give them all our blog links and they can slowly go read :D
can compile into a book already lor.
haha.

Getting back report book tomorrow.
Reminder to self to bring the following items which could prove to of good use in predicted circumstances:
- earplugs/noise cancellation device: to shut my ears off anybody within at least 2m radius of me who is complaining about their 3.6.
- chocolate/strawberry/banana bread: to stuff into people's mouths when they complain about their 3.6 right in front of my face.
- a box of tissue: to distribute to people who are crying over their 3.6.
- detergent: to wash the mouths of people who are cursing over their 3.6.

LOL.
Look how everyday items can prove to be of such good use.
