I really enjoyed myself @ the 4 day 3 night level camp ,whoohoo!!!!! It was an NE race that lasted 2 days including the Fusion Nite, where classes had to compete for points. Each day, there were 3 different stations we had to go to and complete tasks...
One of my favourite stations was the gamelan one. I had a lot of fun playing around with the different instruments. Our task was to complete the ending to a story and play the accompaniment to the scene being acted out by the actors. We had to choose 10 actors, 2 narrators, and th rest will be the musicians. Obviously, I chose to be the musician because I loved playing the instruments...

As for Fusion Nite, each class came up with an item, a fusion of what they have learnt during the NE Race. Our class did a skit comprising of silat, Beijing dance, and the class song and cheer. It was about us not performing the silat properly, and even resulting in a fight. Then, a "teacher" came along to lecture us, and we managed to put up a better performance. After that, we did the Beijing opera, and then finally, it was our class song!!!! The class song was penned by me, to the tune of "It's A Small World". When we were practising the class song, they gave me 3 cheers, so obviously I felt soooooooo important, hahahahahas.....

Anyway, some people from other classes commented on our class blog that they liked our cheers and song, thank you so much!!!! Well, even though we didn't win, what's important is the process, not the results... (How many times have I been saying this sentecne? hahas) One more thing, I got stung by an insect on the 2nd night when I was kneeling on my mattress to reach for something... Well, it's better now.... Anyway, I've learnt a lot of valuable lessons from this level camp, and I looooved it!!!!!

Here are some awesome pictures from photobucket which I would like to post, they are really great!!!!!

Whooo, the Movie Marathon organised by the Yr 5 Student Council of our school just ended at 8am today. It started at around 8pm yesterday. WOW, I can't believe I spent 12 hours in school without sleeping!!! Anyway, we were given choices of about 2 or 3 movies for each slot.

For the first slot, I chose Night At The Museum over Initial D. For the second, I chose National Treasure over Pirates Of The Carribean. For the third, it was The Ring over Happy Feet. Then, it was The Maid over The Prestige, & finally, Ju-On over High School Musical and Remembering The Titans. (The first time I had ever watched 3 horror movies at one go!!!)

These are my reviews for the 5 movies I had watched.
- Night At The Museum: This movie was about all the figures in a museum coming alive because of a golden tablet. Larry, the night-guard, had to deal with all of them and make sure that they get back into the museum before dawn, or else they would turn into dust. I felt that this movie was very entertaining and heart-warming, because of the way Larry deals with the figures. The story plot was quite good too, although not the best that I've ever seen.

-National Treasure: This movie was about a group of people looking for lost treasure. They needed to steal the Declaration Of Independence before their enemy did. They discovered clues after clues, but all that they led to was another clue. Of course, they finally found it in the end. I felt that this story was quite bland, because I don't really fancy detectives movie where clues lead to another clue. I had no choice but to choose to watch this movie because I didn't like Pirates Of The Carribean.

-The Ring: This horror movie was about a cursed video in Izu, such that all who watched it would die in 1 week, unless they made a copy of it and passed it to another person to watch. Immediately after watching the video, the phone would ring but no one would be at the other line. Your face would appear blur if you took a photo of yourself. The first four victims had a shocked expression on their face when they died. The aunt of one of the victims investigated the case with her ex-husband and tried to lift the curse. Out of all the 5 movies, I felt that this one was the best, because it had a good plot, and the ending was unexpected. There was also a lot of suspense and screaming in the lecture theatre. (Hahas)

-The Maid: This horror movie was about a maid, Rosa, from Phillipines working for a superstitious Chinese family during the 7th month. They had burnt their previous maid, Esther, to death because she insisted on leaving, after being made pregnant by their mentally-obscured son, Ah Soon. Rosa begins to hallucinate and see "things", including the spirit of Esther, who wants to take revenge on the family. In the end, the whole family dies, Esther is able to rest in peace, and Rosa returned to her hometown. I enjoyed the movie, although the plot wasn't very good. This is a local production, so I guess we have to appreciate them.

Ju-On: This horror movie is about a haunted house with spirits of a mother and her son in it. Three high school girls went there, and vanished suddenly. Some other people also vanished after going into the haunted house. The spirit of the mother, a woman with long, black hair and crimson blood on her porcelain skinned face, was the one who caused them to vanish. Everyone was screaming, and some even hid their heads under their hands because they didn't want to look at the eerie sight. Again, this movie didn't really have a plot, although I found it quite scary.

Well, overall, I enjoyed the Movie Marathon because this was one of the rare chances we had to spent the night in school.
