Yesterday, I went to Plaza Singapura with Ai Wee, Cheng Yee and Sally to do the draft design for the lecture book.
So we went to KFC first.
I was unintentionally 'abitting' away when I spoke.
Then Cheng Yee wanted me to do 1 pumping for each time i 'abitted' +_+"
So I have 27 pumpings in total.
I made them do half of mine plus their own ones.
So Ai Wee has 13
Cheng Yee has 20
Sally has 19
lol.
And plus we have to run 1 round for every 10 'abits'
Which means we have to run 3 rounds.
Sec1 Patrol PT on friday. haha[:
Anyway, we finished the draft design!!! YAYness xDD
And we talked alot about ATC and guides.
Quite fun haha[:

I just chose my new specs today.
I'm supposed to collect it on Tuesday.
It's abit black in colour.
I had to change cos the colour from my red specs came off. so it looks very red-silver now.

Have to design the lecture book for our patrol.
I'm meeting Sally, Ai Wee and Cheng Yee on Wednesday to discuss.
ARGH! Sally wants it at Hougang cos it's where she lives.
rawr unfair.
Having it at school is better.
Cos everyone will take at least 30+ mins.

ATC is over!!! It's like so fast!
I'm a bit missing it somehow...I don't know why haha.
Maybe it's cos of my nicey patrol members and friendly councillors.
And the rest of us constantly saying a bit a bit? lol
4 days 3 nights of challenges and fun.
A bit of punishments and tough times.
Who can disagree that the camp is enriching?

Day 1:
We arrived at that OBS Campsite at Changi Coast at about 9+. Then we had to build a suicide bridge. Oh yes at least that can make up for my grief of the loss of Camp D which resulted in the lsot of some practice...lolx

OJ was so fun!!!!
I'm so glad that none of us fell out! P5 got perseverance!!!!

But the night walk was great!!!
The year 3s were such great actors!!!
They went like so close to us until I could even see their pale white facial features and black mascara and crimson red lips.
OMG they were so good!!
Our patrol held on tight to one another so that no one would be "kupped"
but my poncho got "kupped" anyway lolx

And we had to clean the toilet after that cos we were health patrol for that day..
HAHAHA.

DAY 2:
Inspection!!!!
So scary
we have to be super standardised.
Standardised to the 150% limit.

Outdoor cooking rocked.
Our councillors gave us loads of great ideas to decorate and fancify our food.
But our pizza was a bit chao da
So we didn't get 1st.
But it's ok[:

Improvised rafting.
tsk tsk
we made a really beautiful structure
but it was a bit loose
so the sec 3s had no choice but to take the ropes of and build their raft.
So obviously our presentation was "the raft is invisible, only smart people can see it" etc
So obviously we got 10/20
at least we passed[:

Fun on The Beach was beach PT.
but it was sort of fun[:

Then at night we had company activity
whacko and blow wind blow
"blow wind blow, blow those who said "a bit" today"
obviously almost everyone haha

Day 3:
HIKE at Pulau Ubin!!
We were a bit high
the cheering was quite okay
NOT DESTROYING the peace and tranquility of the lush green vegetation
overall we were quite high[:

Campfire at night!!!
The sec 2 songleaders were so cute.
Sara and Li Ying were 2 of the 8 songleaders.

Then we were the last to present our skit cos we were P5
Then we just went out and gave it our all[:
I couldn't believe we actually got 3rd out of 5 patrols.
Cos everyone only laughed a bit. unlike the other patrols
maybe cos ours had a storyline that was most realistic and related to guides[:

Mini BBQ was quite delicious too.
melted marshiemallows, buttered corn, roasted sausages and oranges.

At night, Swee Yee, Jessica, Sherly and me were doing the bimbo cheer.
"Oh, my god, I think i need a manicure.
The sun, i swear, is burning up my gorgeous hair.
Red blue yellow green, what's the colour of my team?
I don't know, I don't care, all I know is do my hair.
24, 65, I don't know that stupid score.
Go go fight fight,

So funny!!! Then me Jessica and I laughed continuously for 5 mins, disrupting the perfect sleep of Lim Swee Yee. Sherly was like trying to calm us down haha

Day 4:
sweep sweep sweep the bunks
so fun[:

and the mystery games = evaluation
i guessed that before[:
i cried cos i saw the sec 3s doing it with us from the corner of my eyes.
They didn't have to cos they were the organisers.

After that we went back to school for the prize presentation.
P5 were the overall champion!!!!
I couldn't believe it. Judging by ahem, our improvised rafting results that earned us last postion for that.

Our 3 councillors talked to us 3 on 1 and asked us some questions on the camp.
p5 is love <3333
anyways, Sherly was nearly hugging me at night cos she was cold.
When i told her about it, she was like "really?"

I went on a blog tour just now.
Looking at blogs of people whom I know and don't know, just by clicking on links and ending up at different places.
So I was touring around then I somehow chanced upon a Yr 4 guides senior's (otherwise known as Young Adult Leader) blog.
Her name is Selina.
Formally from Patrol 1.
I saw one post about Guides.
It's about the irreversible cycle of the standard decreasing every year and how slack our ATC is gonna be compared to those in the past years.
I have to agree to that.
We won't have any camp development, which means no building of gadgets, no campcraft etc.
Ok, that leaves us with first aid, basic first aid.
Then that makes us no different from St John's, or maybe worse? cos at least the Year 1s in St John's already know perfect CPR and perfect foot drill, evident from Tabitha's blog.
Well, at least there's a hike so we can practise our orienteering[:
And we are not sleeping in tents.
But bunks.
Which also means that we can't practise much about building tents.
Then won't we be as ignorant about all these stuff as the Year 1s next year when they start out?
Reading notes alone is not enough.
We have to get hands-on to really understand how to build things like fireman's ladder, suicide bridge etc.
And no offence, but I think we are less seh than the year 2s who started out as Year 1s in Guides last year.
At least every single one of them are willing to cheer during PT.
They at least have the "pia"ing spirit to hold in pumping postion for 30 mins.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that those people who fall out are weak or faking it.
We only have 1 and 1/2 more years before we become Yr 3 seniors to lead the whole company.
It will pass by very quickly.
If we can't even be at least 80% as seh as our seniors, won't our juniors like fall under our hands?
I'm really sorry seniors.
We really have disappointed you all.
Maybe it would be better if our ATC was super tough.
I don't care how many evaluations there are.
I think that would wake all of us Year 1 guides up.
That we have to do our best.
Cos we'll no longer be total juniors.
But seniors to our Year 1s next year.
OMG ATC is just 2 more days!!!!
Time passes so quickly man...

I haven't finished packing and labelling.
I'm gonna buy another pair of canvas shoes tomorrow for the camp.

My muscles hurt from yesterday!!!!!!
And today, I was seeing how long I could hold in the pumping position and seeing how many 100% standard pumpings I can do.
I don't understand how anyone can hold there for 30 mins...(my seniors during ATC last year)
So seh and pro!
Must have lots of perseverance and pia...
I can only do at most at most at most 15 mins
Just barely half omf!!!!

Anyways today I went back to RSS for the Prize Presentation Ceremony cos I was one of the 8 pupils who got 5th in the RSS 2006 PSLE cohort.
Then after that I had to rush to Tiong Bahru to meet Sherly cos blur blur us accidentally took each other's identity, patrol shorts, mealbag and plastic bags.
Then we had lunch after that at KFC in Tiong Bahru Plaza[:

After that we went to Popular to "see see kan kan".
Then I bought a packet of stick-on labels to label the things needed for ATC and also a Sudoku book for my leisure time at home.
We spent like an hour there just "see see kan kan"ing cos i "ji jiao" about the price. (Cos I'm somehow thrifty at times)

Then we walked around to places like Comic Connection and Sherly introduced a book called Fruits Basket to me and said it was damn nice.
So I bought that book so that I could read it during my leisure time especially in December.

After that we had to go to Watson's and Guardian to check out the prices for the insect repellent and talcum powder needed for ATC.
Thanks to my thriftiness, We ended up paying only like $6 for both cos the insect repellent was $2+ and the talcum powder was $3+[:

3 more days to ATC!!! Must pia!!!! Perseverance girl!!!!

Today in Guides we learnt some first aid stuff in the morning.
It was super funny can?
We were like telling ghost stories about the ATC campsite and the Tanjong Rhu campus and at the same time learning the different type of bandages.
Ovidia, the so-called victim was like complaining about us instead of a handsome boy dressing her wound...lolx

Then from 10am to 11am it was PT!!!!!!!
We ran 4 rounds around on the track first and we our cheering was a little uhm....cos the people at the front will be leading one cheer and the people at the back will be leading another cheer at the same time.
After that we ran to the obstacle course area to do obstacle course (that is like duh? +_+")
We held ourselves in boys' style pumping position and the each person at the end of the line would have to "commando crawl" under, all the way to the end of the line.
Then go across the monkey bar.
My hand was like so slippery and sweaty so I just slipped off when I got to the 3rd rung.
After that we had to climb a 1.5m high wall.
The surface was so rough can?
I jumped up and my stomach got scratched =X
Li Ying tried to push me up but it was too painful so I just couldn't pia any longer...
So she lent me her leg to climb on[:

Then we had to do all those kinds of things we do during PT.
Examples are leg raise, pumping position, "twinkles", etc lorh...
The Year 3s were like damn disappointed with the Year 1s and Year2s standard lah...
Cos it was like in 6 months time, the Year 2s would have to take up roles like PL and PS, and the Year 1s would have to take up roles in the patrol like QM, Secretary and Treasurer...
And only now I realised my pumping was a bit not standard.
Cos my thighs were a bit touching the ground when I went down...
So I still have like 3 more days to do something more standard before ATC...

Then I only finished half of my lunch cos I was feeling quite full (I don't know why)
Jessica was "screaming" for water and I was "screaming" for fruit punch since yesterday...lolx

We had camp prep after that in the canteen.
My patrol was like discussing on the skit and our roles.
And also uhm..."gossiping" about some people in DHS....
Anyways...

There was inspection during Guides today like omf....
But I think it was quite slack compared to the inspection the Year 2s had last year...
At first they sorta gave us 20 mins to lay out all our stuff, (i.e. meal bags, identities, banner, patrol shorts, things in styrofoam boxes) and it had to be standardised as a whole company.
Means that if one patrol's shorts were facing the door, all had to be the same.
Same for the number of tables used.
Then we asked for time extension of 10 mins.
The Year 3s found like quite a lot of mistakes in our layout cos it wasn't standardised as a whole company.
And also our plastic bags were not standardised too.
But never mind about the punishments[:
At least we did learn some precious things.
Our patrol still owe the Year 3s 5 rounds on the track tomorrow...
*sighs*
I certainly don't know what's wrong with me today man.
During lunch, which was immediately after inspection and evaluation, everyone was like eating damn quickly cos all our energy had been used for holding in the pumping position for 10 mins.
But somehow I didn't feel like eating.
But I still finished like 3/4 of it[:
Anyway I love my ATC patrolmates so much!!!!! <333333

Hellos!!! I'm back!!![:
I just came back from Tokyo, Japan yesterday. It rocked!!! Especially the ice cream in Hokkaido. There was even a six flavoured cone!!! How cool is that?
I enjoyed Disneyland soooooo much!!!!
The rides rocked!!!
So did the souvenirs[:
And the Hokkaido bears were also soooo cute and adorable.

Oh yes and the freaky thing is....
I happened to take a picture of a spirit while taking a picture of an abandoned house on display in a National Park in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
I don't know what kind of spirit it is, whether it is an animal or a human spirit.
All that I can see are facial features which are translucent man...
And I didn't even see it before I took the photo, I even looked under the house just for the sake of curiousity.
It sorta freaked me out and got me curious...
I tried surfing the Net for info but I couldn't find any info about the house or the owner of the spirit.

OMF i'm telling you today is just one of my bad luck days...
The start is quite normal...
I woke up early in the wee hours of the morning to take an MRT to Aljunied cos my patrolmates from ATC patrol, MOOTH<33333, were doing the identities, shorts and mealbags. So we were happily chatting and doing them at the same time, and talking about "famous" people from DHS.
So at 2.15pm I left then when I was at the bustop I realised I had forgotten to take back my wallet. So I called Swee Yee and told her to meet at the bustop with my wallet.
But I didn't tell her properly so she ended up going to another bustop.

But I stil got back my wallet anyway.
But I was running late for the '11th Hour' movie booked by Mrs Koh<33333
So I dashed all the way to the bustop only to find that no bus goes to the Aljunied MRT station, so I went opposite.
No sign man =X
I went to like a thousand bustops and none of them led to any MRT station!!!
So I was damn frustrated and called Shu Jun to rant and rant. Haha sorrrrrryyyyy....
Then she told me to take a cab because that was the only way I could get there on time.
But the freakout problem is...I didn't have $$$ with me!!! Only 10 cents OMF!!!
So Shu Jun told Teri to pay for me when I got there in a cab.
But I was in such an ulu place how do I get a cab?
So from Aljunied, I DASHED all the way to the CBD area until I found another ulu carpark and i saw a cab!!!!
OMF i really felt like a maple charac walking around frantically with no mesos and hoping for a portal.
The driver was sleeping so I knocked on the window and asked him to take me to Orchard Cineplex.
Then I called Shu Jun, Sing Rue, Teri and Yvon but they didn't pick up their phone!!!
Then I called Nicole and asked her to get Shu Jun on the line.
I told her I would be arriving in 5 mins.
Then Teri was like, "What?? But we can't find an escalator!!"
So I waited in the cab.
Then when she arrived she paid $8.30 to the driver.
Sorrrrryyyy....Teri, $8.30 will be subsidised from your payment for class tee[:
So thank god my bad luck ended there.
The movie was quite chim and profound, i didnt quite understand what they were talking about.
Something about global warming and the environment and homo sapiens and how we evolved and our impact on the environment...
Then on our way back, we were discussing about the best maple jobs (i.e. theif assassin and mage) cos they can 'cheat' and throw things from afar at an elevated place and not get killed by the stupid monsters cos the monsters can't go up unless they can fly.
And saying how bad it was to be a warrior cos you have to go very close to the monster before having a chance of killing it.
And we were also talking about looters who stole our mesos and metal poles in front of our eyes when we killed the monsters, but we are kind enough to let them off, aren't we?[:
