Today, I just went to trim my hair and cut my fringe short at the salon at Tampines Mall. I am not really used to my new look and my fringe touching my forehead, because my fringe was actually a side parting which I could cup behind my ears. I had a long fringe for three years. (Now I have cut it all away)

Anyway, my mother remarked that I looked 2 years younger. (Really?) I will take that as a compliment. I guess it is better to cut my fringe short as I am going to take part in a lot of outdoor activities in Girl Guides.

I just got my new CCA on Thursday. I did not get into String Ensemble, because only those who know how to play any of the four instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass) can get in. I got into Girl Guides, together with two other girls from my class. (Wei Xin and Jia Min)

At first, I was thinking, oh no, I can't canoe, I can't run very fast, I can't climb rocks, etc. But when I went for my very first Girl Guides meeting, I immediately changed my perspective of that CCA. The teacher guider told us that when she first joined Girl Guides, she was not very sporty. But after that, she began to have a lot of fun with the activities organised and it also helped her improve her NAPFA results from Bronze to Gold! (WOW!!!)

We would be able to learn a lot of interesting things like canoeing, rock-climbing, trekking, camping and many more. We will be divided into 8 patrols, each having a Year 4 patrol leader.

The uniforms are blue in colour, and I think that there will also be a pair of white gloves and a scarf. (Wonder how I will look like in it) The actual cost of the uniform was above $60, but it has been subsidised by the school, and it is now $20+. (Thank goodness, haha) We only have to wear the uniform during roll call or on special occasions like National Day.

There will also be a patrol corner, in which we can do what ever we like. The practice times are usually once a week, on Fridays, from 2.45pm to 5.45pm. Some activities will be held on Saturdays too. I really hope that I will enjoy all the activities organised, and at the same time become more sporty.

Today, I went back to my primary school, Red Swastika School, together with Yvon, Xin Min and Gavin. We went to visit our former teachers. What a pity our 2006 form teacher, Mrs Koh, had been transferred to teach in Junyuan Primary School. (*sobs*)

Xin Min suggested that the whole of 6/1 '06 go to Junyuan Primary School on Teachers' Day and give Mrs Koh a big surprise. The only problem is that we don't know where some of our former classmates are studying in now. (*sobs* again)

Anyway, the whole lot of us from Dunman High will be going back to RSS on Chinese New Years' Eve to visit the teachers again, so I'm really looking forward to that day! (Oh yeah!!!)

Great, it's CCA day tomorrow! But anyway, I've already thought of my five choices. We are supposed to submit the CCA option form online, but due to technical difficulties, I think we have to wait for further instructions. (Whatever) It's okay, such circumstances can never be predicted.

So now, I'm much more free on Sundays because my music lessons has been changed from 2.30pm - 3.30pm to 5.30pm - 6.30pm on Saturdays. I guess I will be much more busy on weekdays because of CCA practices, Foreign Language lessons, and more homework. (And projects!!!) Well, I guess I can only relax on weekends. Anyway, two days are better than none.

Hooray! I can finally log in to my blogger account! Anyway, the DHS 3-day Orientation was sooooo fun! We played a lot of games that required teamwork, which is of course, the object of that orientation.

There was this game that we played on the second day called Vertical Limit. 10 of us sat on chairs arranged in a circle, then we had to turn our body to the right and lean back on each others lap. After that, the Student Facilitators would remove the chairs that we were supported on, and we were supposed to remain in that position. We failed the first time, but we managed to succeed the second time. (Perseverance!!!) It looked as if we were doing a charity performance! (一定要支持哦,哈哈!) That was one of my favourite games.

Another memorable game was the one when we had to stand on canteen benches and arrange ourselves according to height, birthday, etc, without falling off the canteen bench that we were standing on. So we held one anothers hands everytime we had to change positions, to refrain from falling. (好难哦!) There were many other exciting events, but it will take me hours to describe them.

On the last day, we had dinner at the canteen. (Marcus threw a water bomb at our Student Facilitator, haha!) Then, we went up to the hall to watch a skit put up by the Student Facilitators. We also had an inter-class cheering competition. Every class was a winner of something, be it the craziest class or the cutest class. My class,1K, won the coolest class award.

We had a sing-a-long and dance-a-long session. We were exhausted but happy. Then we sat down to watch a slideshow of the photos that were taken during the orientation, including our class photos. This was really a very unforgettable orientation, three cheers for the organisers!
