My very first Girl Guides activity was held last Friday. I really did have a whale of a time! There were a lot of games lined up for us. (It was an obstacle journey)

My favourite game was the one where we had to construct a Roman Chariot using wood and ropes. (It HAD to be very stable!!!)We transported one person per trip from one end of the field to the other. Then the person being transported had to take a flag, balance all the way back to starting point on canteen benches, (while our Year 4 seniors threw powder at us) and help with the transportation of the next person.

We had to complete the task as quickly as possible. I feel that this activity really builds up team spirit, which is the purpose of Girl Guides. (It rocks!!!)

After all the fun, we had an outdoor cooking session. First, we soaked a sack in water. Next, we got out the solid fuel, broke them into quarters, and put them in the mess tin. Then, we lighted a fire for the instant noodles to be cooked. We also added an egg inside. The instant noodles were simple but sumptuous, and we really enjoyed it. (Yum!!!)

Well, for those practical people who think that Girl Guides only require us to obey commands all day long, (We do, but not all the time) I am sure they will have a different perspective of it after reading this. I am really looking forward to more fun-packed activities in Girl Guides.
