Hellos, I came back from my stayover in school at 9am. It was a very memorable night, the last night we would be spending with our Yr 4 seniors =(
After school, we were given time to prepare and rehearse our item. Then suddenly at 4pm, the Yr 1s & 2s were called to change to our guides uniform and jihe at the parade square...
That was the first time I ever wore my guides uniform in a guides activity. We were given 10 mins to change, but we took more then 13 mins...
Then the Yr 4s did a spot check on our uniforms to see if there were any mistakes...A lot of us were made to push the floor 5 times...LOLx
After that we got back to our rehearsals, and assembled at 4.55pm.
Our Patrol Leaders taught the Yr 1s the steps for the enrolment. It seemed quite complicated at first, but we managed to get the gyst of it under the patient guidance of our PLs.
Our Patrol Second, Wendy, saw that my hair was quite messy and tied it up again. She tied it quite high and I wasn't used to it, but Nicole saw me and commented that it was nice, hahas...
Then, it was dinnertime!!!
We had a buffet which we had paid $5 for in advance, it was delicious, especially the cherry tart. Wendy ate tart after tart because she liked it so much, LOLx.
After dinner, we had a rehearsal for the enrolment as a whole company in the parade square.
Then, the actual enrolment ceremony was held in the hall. After the enrolment ceremony was the passing down ceremony from the Yr 4 guides to the Yr 3s. So it meant that we now have Yr 3s as CL, ACL, PL, etc.
The two batches of guides hugged and cried and took some photos for memories. I felt like crying too, because it would seem weird without our friendly PL and PS, Jean and Wendy.
After we took our patrol photo, the farewell performance commenced.
We did a mass dance taught by 3 brave Yr 3 guides, Stephanie, Hannah(sp?) and Kelly.
After the mass dance were the items put up by each standard. I was amused at one part of the Yr 3s skit, when one of my Yr 3 seniors, Jia Wen, sang the chorus of the song "Umbrella" by Rihanna and danced to it with an umbrella. She is really born to be an entertainer, hahas.
We also viewed a few slideshows of photos taken throughout the years when the Yr 4s were in guides, including some when they were Yr 1s. They looked so different, especially their hairstyles.
After bathing, our patrol time was spent exchanging gifts and telling jokes under the night sky at the parade square. Jean and Wendy gave us a 2008 calendar with our patrol photos and the Yr 2s gave us animals that were sewn using felt.
I took a look at the patrol photos and saw one with our Yr 2s when they were Yr 1s last year. Pearlyn had a very straight and cute fringe, Kimberley had adorable green spectacles and Zhen Ling had her fringe clipped neatly all the way back.
Jean and Wendy also wrote some well wishes for us on the back of the calendar with a black permanent marker. Time really flies when you are having fun.
So now our new Yr 3 PL and PS are Jia Wen and Jia Jia respectively. Our other Yr 3s, Xin Yi and Ovidia were also PS, but they had to go to another patrol =(
Our new CL is Stephanie while our new ACL is Sin Hui.
Well, six months have passed by very quickly, soon, the new batch of Yr 1s will be joining next year. So we have to read our notes diligently and pass the "master skills" to them next year, LOLx...
